I have spent this week explaining one of the reasons I am so busy. I am taking a COETAIL course. What is that? I actually do not know what the acronym means. I explain to my friends and colleagues that the course is the beginning of a “technology integration certificate.” More importantly, I am sharing to all that will listen, my excitement about learning new educational practices and ideas regarding technology in the classroom. I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge base and applying it to my professional world…yes, my professional world…hmmmmm. As I sit and type this, I realize that very little technology has been integrated into our classroom for the students this school year. We do not even have our log in passwords for our students. (To be fair, we have chosen to use quick universal log in for everyone to make the process faster) What is the issue? Without listing all of the possible excuses, I guess all we can do is begin. So, Phil….here we come.
