3. Students will be able to give several interpretations of the symbols found in LP.
4. Students will understand how different characters in the book can have different perspectives about the same events.
5. Students will be able to relate the feelings of the Little Prince to their own feelings and lives.
6. Students will be able to empathize with the main characters in LP.
Lesson Notes: This lesson targets limited English proficient students. An audio recording of The Little Prince was made and then put onto Panthernet. This recording helps LEP students better understand The Little Prince and also helps them to be successful in participating in their literature circles. The lesson incorporates a twist on a typical use of the Internet. Instead of using technology to communicate with masses of people, students use technology to successfully communicate with their small literature circle group.
