ToolsThis is a featured page

We are using a wide variety of tools in this class, specifically those tools we feel are essential to learning in a networked world. On these pages, we would like to have a space where all members of the class can discuss their experience, questions and ideas about using these tools both as a learner and as a teacher.

A wiki is like a book, it's focused on a specific topic and most dialog and editing is topic-specific.

This wiki is the home base for all communication, information and assignments for this course.
A blog is like a diary, it's usually focused on a specific person and their learning.

Your blog will be your place to reflect (your personal thoughts on this course). Keep in mind that your blog is public and you will want to think before you post.
Really Simple Syndication is a way to bring all new blogs posts into one central place (kind of like e-mail for blogs). Instead of having to go to every single blog one at a time to see what information is new, now it will come to you!

Your RSS reader will become your personal "textbook" for the web. Feel free to add and delete subscriptions as their relevance grows and wanes.

A while back I wrote a blog post that is relevant here: The Technology Toolbox: Choosing the Right Tool for the Task

Which tools would you like to learn more about? Let's list them here so we make sure we have time to cover some (even if it's in small groups based on interest):
