Focus: Introduction to the NETS standards


Enduring Understanding: All core content teachers are responsible for authentically embedding technology within their curriculum.
Essential Question: How can we effectively and practically authentically embed technology within our curricular areas?

Location: ES Learning Hub

Agenda:

2:30 - 2:45: Introduce NETs Standards (please make sure you have these read BEFORE class) & take self-assessment survey
2:45 - 3:00: Discuss NETs Standards in small groups: How does this impact learning? (Jigsaw group - "core" group)
3:15 - 4:00: Split Jigsaw to rotate through tables where teachers can share successes/failures and practical implementation techniques.
4:00 - 4:15: Come back to "core" group to share Jigsaw
4:15 - 4:30: Brainstorm with a partner how you could embed at least one Student NETs standard into one of your units, begin planning your Project Sketch assignment.
